The Secret Service is looking into its own security procedures after determining that a Virginia couple, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, managed to slip into Tuesday night's state dinner at the White House even though they were not on the guest list.

President Barack Obama, or any of the other guests, were never in any danger because the party crashers went through the same security screening for weapons as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The couple even took photos posing with Vice President Joe Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Here are all the photos from the event.

Morgan and Emma, both labradors, had breast lifts costing £1,200 in a bid to find them a new home. After years of overbreeding, the pets were left with sagging folds of skin which left their teats nearly touching the ground.Staff at the Wallace Kennels in Stondon Massey, near Brentwood, Essex, said it was putting off potential owners so they decided to make them look better. Morgan and Emma's operations were a "great success" and just weeks later the abandoned pets were snapped up by new owners.

British brewery creates "world's strongest beer", with 32% alcohol

The creation of Scottish brewery BrewDog, named 'Tactical Nuclear Penguin', beats the previous record holder, a 31% German beer called Schorschbraer.

The company said that Tactical Nuclear Penguin "should be enjoyed in spirit sized measures". They say that a warning label on the bottle states: "This is an extremely strong beer, it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky". more ast metro.co.uk.
