Oscar Wilde said, "Men love with their eyes; women love with their ears."

What is your vote?
1) He has a point. Women tend to be more attracted to what a man says, more than what he looks like.
2) I agree that men are more attracted to pictures, and women with words. The ladies do seem to read a lot of romance novels.
3) I'm not so sure about this theory. I think Oscar Wilde may have been simplifying things.
4) No, this is a kind of stereotyping. I can't agree with it at all.

The rocks, some as heavy as 17 stone, edge along in bizarre, straight-line patterns across the ultra-flat surface of the valley. They can travel more than 350 yards a year.
Scientists believe the phenomenon is caused by a coming together of specific weather conditions. Studies suggest a combination of 90mph winds, ice formations at night and thin layers of wet clay on the surface of the desert all help to push them along.

more here.

What is your vote?
1) That's very rock'n'roll
2) That's very scary
The rule banning women from dressing like men, namely by wearing trousers, was first introduced in 1800 by Paris' police chief and has survived repeated attempts to repeal it.
The latest attempt to remove the outmoded rule was in 2003, when a Right-wing MP from President Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP party wrote to the minister in charge of gender equality. The minister's response was: "Disuse is sometimes more efficient than (state) intervention in adapting the law to changing mores."

What is your vote?
1) That's ridiculous
2) Contradictions.

The line will be based on the DNA of such names as Elvis Presley, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and Richard Nixon.

The firm, which also makes individualized scents based on a customer's cheek swab, says it's producing the star potions from DNA tests performed on hair clippings provided by celebrity hair collector John Reznikoff.

Dr. Diva Verdun, chief development officer at MyDNAFragrance, says: "I did a little research on Elvis, and he actually had really bad body odor. So we don't want to clone him in any way or create a fragrance that actually smelled like him. DNA has nothing to do with bodily functions. There's no way it can stink."

read more here

What is your vote?
1) I'll take the Marilyn Monroe, please
2) Yet another way to take people's money
3) Is that even ethical?
Just when we thought we had seen enough of the Sherzen sisters, they surprise us on Halloween! No one new what to expect when Tiana and Shayla Sherzen appeared at the same party with the same costume! Younger sister Tiana says, "It was crazy! I i picked the dress out with Kylie [Kardashian] having no intention of Shay wearing it too! When I got there, I saw her and we just decided to call ourselves Jane One and Jane Two. [The dress] was really cute though." Sounds like the only ones more surprised than us are the sisters themselves.

What is your vote?
1) Shayla, paired with a trendy black undershirt
2) Tiana, tied as a turtleneck
Sarah Palin calls the latest Newsweek cover "sexist and oh-so-expected"

Here is what she wrote on her facebook page as a reaction to this cover:

The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness – a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention – even if out of context.

What is your vote?
1) She's right
2) She's right, but it's funny nevertheless
3) It's not sexist, it's just mocking
4) Other?
