Jul 24th, 2008 | Buns And Guns survey

B 'n' G, or Buns and Guns, is a terrorism themed restaurant established recently in the heart of the Hizzbolah-controled section of Beirut. The menu: Grenade and Kalashnikov (burger and fries), Magnum sandwiches (chicken) and lots of other guerilla weaponary like RPGs, M16s and tactical combos.

The chefs in B 'n' G, all wear camouflage, as they sautee orders on the grill, while a specially made soundtrack of gunshots and explosions plays in the background.

Restaurant owner Ali Hammoud says he didn't mean much by this. He told AP:  "It's just an idea I had, nothing more, nothing less... I could have put toys in place of the sandbags, and teddy bears instead of guns. But it was just an idea."

Here's a BBC article on the restaurant.

And a Guardian column, discussing other "terror-themed" restaurants.
