Two working class parents from Dagestan, a Russian republic in the North Caucasus, lost contact with their son who left town to find a better future for himself in Moscow.
Now, after a year with no contact, they have seen him once again.
As the victim in a gruesome neo-Nazi beheading video circulating online.
"Shamil would call us almost daily from Moscow" says Umakhan Odamanov, Shamil's father. But all of a sudden, a year ago, the phone calls stopped. The family was left with no information on the son, who moved to Moscow to find a better life, worked as a construction worker, and was looking for a bride.
When the family saw the shocking execution video posted online by members of the Russian neo-Nazi group, National-Socialist Party of Russia, they've positively identified their 24 year old son.
The victims in the video, two dark skinned men, are seen kneeling before a Nazi flag, when an executioner beheads one of them using a butcher's knife, and shoots the other one in the back of the head. "Glory to Russia!" say the men in the video, while performing a Nazi salute.
