FYI: Pat Buchanan ran for president a few times as a Republican, although he is a Conservative. HWhen he ran against Bush I, he wanted to balance the budget, promote Amercian jobs, bring our troops home from around the world, and secure the border. He was labeled a racist for wanting to secure the border. Sometimes the best person for the job isn't the best candidate. The skills required to win an election (and popularity) are not the same as for leading a country. Just my opinion.
