Does the fact New York Governor sees prostitutes in his spare time disturb you?

NY Governor Eliot Spitzer caught arranging to meet a "high price" prostitute on the phone (the escort's line has been tapped in a federal investigation). The New York governor, a "well respected family man" who often spoke publically against prostitution, admitted to using the services of an escort service called Emperors Club VIP on Monday, and told the press he now needed time to "regain the trust of my family.”

Read more here.

And here's a cached version of the Emperors Club VIP escort service.

And some pictures of the escorts.

"It's the Organized Crime - Stupid!"  Noone should care who a Governor has sex with.  It was Eliot Spitzer's role as U.S. Attorney and New York Attorney General during which he was doing business with the mafia that is the problem.  Organized Crime had the ultimate dirt on Spitzer, so he had to protect them.  How many crimes did Spitzer fail to investigate?  Only a Federal Special Prosecutor can answer that basic question.

Prostitution should be legal. What bothers me about this hypocrite is that he's prosecuted prostitution cases and then turns around and uses their services. And why is it that a regular guy who pickes a pro off the street is prosecuted but Spitaer isn't even charged?

The part of this that bothers me is that he's an ex district attorney who prosecuted prostitution-related crimes, and that his stance against this particular crime was used -- at least in part -- to get him to his current position in government.  I can deal with some kinds of hypocrisy, but this is pretty extreme.

So are expensive ho's less damaging to the Governor's image than a regular ho? Does her higher income bracket suggest she is a registered republican ho?  Whose bright idea was it to point out how much he paid for a piece of ass. Does this make him more popular with the white male swing vote?  Should I just make a poll out of this comment?

Give me a break.  The only thing I can knock him for is the price.  I have had awesome ass for much less money.

"As long as it's not public, I don't care." That's very well worded. If it isn't public, then I wouldn't know about it. Right? So, how could I care?
