I saw a pregnant women walk out of a convience store with her friends a little while back. They imediatley offered her a smoke and lit it. She then went to the cross walk to cross the street before the light changed. Do you know what they said!!!?? "Wow watch it don't walk to fast"...
The other day I saw a pregnant woman smoking. It was very disturbing and I felt helpless and angry and wanted to butt the cigarrette out in her face. Some people don't deserve to have children.
Children shouldn't have to breathe smoke anywhere - in the car OR in the home - and a fine should be just the first step in an escalating process that ends in loss of custody. Seriously. And if it's OK for parents to subject their kids to poor heart and lung health (for starters), why not their teachers, bus drivers, and babysitters too? This is inexcusable, unconscionable behavior on the part of any "adult".And, by the way, if a parent is unscrupulous enough to smoke in front of their child, there's no reason to believe that they will "deal with the consequences" - such as getting medical care for that child, for example, or persuading that child that he/she shouldn't pick up the habit too. No, it is usually society as a whole that picks up those particular tabs.

The child shouldn't have to pay for the parent's mistake
