It does not matter, the cycle is made. History is repeating itself with another Democrat in the Whitehouse to fix all the screwups made by the Republicans and they still don't get it. The people want to be included, the Rich are concerned with Robin Hood. But the poor do not care how lavish the sheriff and King John live so long as they are allowed to live as well. To eat well, to live well even in our tiny homes. To be able to educate our children in public schools so tthey can work in their own country in a good job. As long as the sheriffs and King John's of this world rape and pillage we will stop them with Robin Hoods. They may end up with a socialist government in the "Land of the Free" if they continue to put morons in office like "W".
Prevailing belief?? That is ridiculous! I live in Richardson (right next to Plano) and most of my friends and family (all ages, ethnicities) voted for Clinton including many who live in Plano. The others are mostly young people (students) who voted for Obama. I know exaclty 2 people who voted Republican and saw no more than three people go into the Republican side of the polling place while I was waiting outside for my kids and friends to vote. Did you go to the precinct convention last night? I did, and the 300 people there were a very representative cross section of people who look like America! What did every person in that auditorium have in common? ANGER at the Bush administration, disgust with the direction of our country, and pride that we have two Democratic candidates, either of whom we would be proud to see become president. Texans, many of whom voted for Bush before (not me), are ashamed that he is from Texas. The final vote tally in Texas will be over 3 million for the Democrats, and less than one million for the Republicans. You can't tell me that enough Republicans cared what Rush Lmbaugh or some other wing nut told them to do and went out and voted for Clinton to wreak havoc on the Democratic party. There were other candidates on their ballot they cared too much about to abandon, as well as ballot initiatives not on the Demcratic ballot.. If they had called themselves Republicans in 2004 they no longer want to be affiliated with that party, so they voted in the Democratic primary. The page I signed last night (the only one I saw, about 25 signatures) at the caucus was about 50/50 Obama /Clinton. Everyone there was proud to be a Democrat.
Well, I won't try to pass it off as a "fact." I know a few admitted saboteurs but this is largely speculation. However, in my workplace, it appears to be something that Democrats and Republicans both suspect.
In Texas, you don't register to vote under a political party -- anyone can vote in either primary. The prevailing belief around here is that Republicans voted for Hillary in order to tie up the Democratic party and force Democratic candidates to spend time, effort, and money damaging each other further in the primaries.

I wasn't aware of this. Republican Texans are cunning!
