Actually, I'd prefer to be brutal. So-called "Justice" has become pretty feeble in recent years. That has to explain the skyrocketing crime... and the skyrocketing tax burden of our justice system (currently ~$250 billion per year, now vs. ~$35 billion per year in 1982).
