What do you think of the quality of accredited Online Degrees? Like Universtiy Of Phoenix Online

I have been going to the University of Phoenix for 3 years now and am about to graduate. There are many conflicting reports on how potiental businesses see applicants with an online degree on thier resume. Some businesses such as Microsoft and Boeing do not discriminate against these accredited degrees and even offer to pay for courses to help workers move up in the workplace. Some others howeve frown upon the degrees and prefer to hire only those with traditional degrees. I was wondering what you thought about it.

The online classes are expanding more and more even k-12 are beginning to open up online schools where kids can stay at home and get an education.

I didn't even finish school! All this academic crap is overrated. Learn from the school of hard knocks, I say. Experience is what teaches life's real lessons, not a bunch of boring old professors!

Employers who look down on online degrees are snobs. Academic snobbery is a pet hate of mine, because sometimes universities with good reputations give a much poorer quality of education than polytechnics and colleges which have to fight to prove themselves. A piece of advice for anyone considering doing an online degree though: Try to get a degree from a school that offers traditional degrees as well and is regionally accredited. Stay away from for profit schools like Phoenix, people look down on them because of their perceived quality and standards.
