The Feds are planning an invasion of Second Life
CIA and FBI are joining in on the Second Life fun, realizing the virtual world can be the perfect place for extremists, terrorists and other form of criminals to organize, synchronize and even do money laundering. A new federal report claims the charactersitics of Second Life have turned the service into a seedbed for international threats.
As a response, US anti-terrorism units will start collecting information and spying around Second Life. "The CIA has created a few virtual islands for internal use, such as training and unclassified meetings, government officials said. (Washington Post)
