If fathers were granted custody of children and awarded child support what would be the result?

Courts claim they are gender neutral but their decisions in child custody cases say otherwise.  People love to throw around the term "deadbeat dads".  What do you think would happen if the proverbial shoe was on the other foot?  Would there be lots of "malingering moms"?
