I feel that as a public school teacher, her debate should have been at the school board and the P.T.A. meetings.  The physical classroom isn't the place to debate school policy.  If she were a college professor, I would feel differently.

I nominate the Scopes Trial the dumbest debate in American history.  Mandatory public education was only instituted 25 years earlier. As if *NEVER* before had American children learned about evolution.  In fact Darwin was commonly taught for over 100 years in elite American schools, as a necessary basis for learning John Lock.  The debate here is not should a teacher teach something, true or false, but should citizens be forced to pay for indoctrination that contravene's their own moral sense.  This is stupid.  We would not tolerate this if it was state controlled media.  Why do we tolerate state controlled schools? Give parrents, and singles, back their tax dollars, and let them choose for themselves who teaches what to their kids!
