US Military now claims threat of a Shiite-led government in Iraq bigger than that of Al Qaeda
US Department of State's weekly status report dealing with the situation in Iraq (dated November 21) includes the following paragraph:
"Shiite-Led Government Larger Threat than al-Qaida:
• Senior military commanders now portray the intransigence of Iraq's Shiite dominated government as the key threat facing the U.S. effort in Iraq, rather than al-
Qaida terrorists, Sunni insurgents or Iranian-backed militias."
