The new BMW 1 Series Coupe costs around $27,000

The reason this is so special is that the 1 Series is the spiritual successor to the 2002 and E30 - a light, nimble, RWD car. BMWs have become fatter, more luxurious, and costlier over the years. It's about time they made a car like this again!

I paid $5,700.00 in 1971 for a new BMW Bavaria including taxes & tags. I sold it eight years later with 87,000 miles on it for $4500.00. Ever since new BMWs have been priced out of my class.
