I've been listening to a lot of traditional Asian music lately. I particularly like the music of Liu Fang, who plays a Chinese lute called the pipa, and also a koto-like instrument called the guzheng.http://www.liufangmusic.net/English/
Yeah, I love world music, too. Especially when it's given that special touch to make it trippy. Shpongle, Entheogenic, Younger Brother, Adham Shaikh, Taruna... these are amazing bands in the "world music" subtype that I love.
I'm still working on that one; one of my ambitions is to download as much popular music from as many countries as I can. I also like the 'World' music genre, it's really nice - the sentimentes of unity really comes out in the sound.
I love international music (variety is the spice of life in my opinion). "The Rough Guide" series to world music is an exceptional series of music.
