Aug 27th, 2009 | 4 Day Week survey

Utah has been testing a 4 day work week with great success. Would you switch to a 4 day, 10 hours a day, work week?

Good blogs writes about an experiment carried out in Utah in which the state initiated 4 day work weeks (10 hours a day) for 17,000 state employees. The point was: saving energy, reducing carbon emissions, reducing traffic, saving money (in operation costs), and making employees happier. The experiment turned out to be a big success, and other states and towns around the US are now launching their own 4 days week experiments.

40 hours a week is too long, anyway. Tecnological progree makes it possible to work fewer hours, and to take longer vacations.
