Why are almost all religions "male"?

In all world dominant religions (excepting sects, and pagan cults), God is male, priests are male, religious law is not equal for both, etc. For me, that's maybe the biggest “thorn in eye”, that made me seriously think about it, and start “loosing my religion”.
