Ever been diagnosed with cancer or have a family member diagnosed?

My dad has recently been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He should be totally fine according to the doctors but it was a scary thing hearing about it. Just wondering if other people have gone through anything similar.

Doctors recognized cancer in my leg a few years ago, and I was operated. I could die, or stay without leg, but, well, I'm still safe and sound. Don't worry. Or worry, but don't be despearate.

I've been fighting various forms of cancer for over 20 yrs according to US doctors... funny thing is, after moving to Sweden and finding doctors who really know what they are talking about (2nd highest quality of healthcare in the wold.. US is 36th) - they told meall the crap I went through was needless over there. The only cancer I ever had was the first one: Cervical,. The rest were all doctors trying to make their Jag payments.
