ok, let me spell it out....the UK has admitted their healthcare sucks....as have canadians...the US already has two massive health programs deep into the red....they are called medicare and medicaid...what makes you think they, the government, can run any other health care plan?
Explain the fault in my logic. The healthcare costs per capita (the amount of money spent on healthcare both private and public) is triple that of any country that has universal healthcare. I ask YOU, WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
More taxes does not mean you are paying more money. At the moment, Americans pay THREE TIMES the amount of money for healthcare than ANY OTHER COUNTRY. Where does the money go? Not doctors or hospitals, but to INSURANCE COMPANIES. And they get money not for treating people, but denying people treatment. They find any excuse to not treat people.
