Palau agrees to take in 17 Chinese Muslim Guantánamo Bay prisoners from US custody


Palau is a group of islands in the North Pacific. The US has cut a deal with president Johnson Toribiong of Palau to resettle 17 Chinese Muslim suspected terrorists in Palau, as the US prepares to shut Guantanamo Bay down.

If they went back to China they would have been executed. The Chinese handed them over to the US as terrorists, because they wanted to be rid of them. But they are not terrorists, they were just uighur muslims.
