Is 47 million year old fossil, Ida, evolution's missing link?

Scientists have unveiled an ancient fossil of a small animal, perfectly preserved with the remainders of its last meal actually fossilized in its stomach. The animal, nicknake Ida, lived 47 million years ago, and scientists hope it is the missing link between pre historic animals and primates.

Take a look at some amazing videos of the Ida fossil here.

Watch the encore show "Thie Link" on History Channel 5/29. It walked upright (pelvis & ankle bone evidence), had opposable thumbs, etc. VERY compelling. It's dated to 47 million years old. Soooooo COOL!!!
