Chrysler is not dead. Pontiac is dead, Rover is dead, but Chrysler is in bankruptcy at the moment, and Chrysler will thrive (although part of FIAT) if they are able to fix their problems. FIAT has the technology for more efficient vehicles that Chrysler needs, and Chrysler has the volume that FIAT needs. If this merger does not succeed, THEN Chrysler will go the way of Rover, Humber, Nash, Studebaker and so many other manufacturers.
