I think American people have become increasingly irresponsible and greedy in recent decades.  I don't think America is as great as it once was, and I don't see any reason for it to improve any time soon.  I want to point fingers, but I think people are "generally" to blame, without any specific demographic (political or otherwise) being either innocent or specifically to blame.

America isn't as great as you think it is...And you, it's not as bad as you think it is, either.

my, my, my how uninformed you are...the market has been a making of both democrats and republicans...not to mention the FACT that the democrats wanting to make housing more affordabale aided in the colapse of the housing market which is what was/is at the root of this recession...and guess what...democrat barney frank just asked freddie and fannie, again, to loosen their qualifications for loans...and giving loans for houses to those that could not afford them helped fuel the housing market crash...

Why "the people AND the free market"? The free market in its GW Bush variety, has plunged the world into the worst economic crisis since 1929.

it is in the process of losing it's greatness under obama....and the sad part is the media is in love with him...he has laready had 2 times the amount of media coverage in his first 5 months than GWB did...and 30% more coverage than clinton...sad indeed...
