Vampires - a Mathematical Impossibility? read the intro first and judge: can vampires actually exist?

Costas Efthimiou, A physics proffessor at the University of Central Florida, set out on a quest to prove vampires - as they're defined by literature and films - couldn't possibly exist on earth.

Here's his explanation: one of the main properties of vampires, is that they - allegedly - feed/drink human blood. Another vampire fact is this one: once bitten, a person will turn into a vampire and starts feasting on the blood of others.

Efthimiou's debunking logic: On Jan 1, 1600, the human population was 536,870,911. If the first vampire came into existence that day and bit one person a month, there would have been two vampires by Feb. 1, 1600. A month later there would have been four, and so on. In just two-and-a-half years the original human population would all have become vampires with nobody left to feed on.

Well for 1. Edward lives in Forks, WA. I visited him and he bit me so that means there's at least 2. And for 2. They dont always turn a person when they bite. They could have just been killing them over the years instead of turning them. That would explain the population thing. ....

well i don't think vampires exist, but if they existed the equation is wrong because it is based on false premises

Maybe some vampires didn't drink human blood that's why they don't multiply. And some of them are hiding...And the human population is way larger...So even if they bite humans, humans would still multiply...Just look how many babies are born each day!

Maby, just maby, all that did happen, but one man and a woman survived, all the vamps died out of hunger, and the two remaning humans breed and breed...XD Just a crazy thought...
