I just don't understand Jobs-worshippers.  Any sleazebag could have been Jobs.  Apple's big asset was Steve Wozniak.  Jobs almost destroyed the company before he was deposed in 1985.  He was the guy who insisted that a computer didn't need a hard drive, and why the original Macintosh was launched without a fixed disk (or even support for one) -- despite unanimous disagreement by his entire staff.  When Apple brought Jobs back (in 1998), the Macintosh had a 14% market share.  Within a couple years, they spiraled to a pathetic 1.2% market share... during the brief period of time where Apple had the fastest computers available to home users.  Without the iPod (his often-cited innovation, which was a product copied from real innovators) Apple would probably have shut down. This is ultimately why I dislike Apple fanboys.  One of the greatest inventors and computer heroes of all time -- Steve Wozniak -- is behind the Apple name and legacy.... yet everyone worships the sleazy narcissistic businessman who couldn't help but screw himself over and over again.

He was definitely a big innovator and he's going to be tough to replace. I'm sure they can continue on their current projects though. But after that I don't know.
