I was spanked, hit with large tupperware plastic spoons, and slapped across the face. I could go without the slapping, i would never do that or hit a child with a spoon...but i think spanking is ok. As long as it's not physical torture, it's letting them no they pulled a major no no. My nephew never gets disciplined and he's a monster

I never had the need to spank mine - but I am on the fence about whether or not it is ever necessary.
When I have my child someday in the future, I will never ever spank her/him....
My kids are spanked very rarely, but it's the only deterrent significant enough to prevent really bad behaviors.
