For those who can remember: Was 1960 really as misogynist as Mad Men suggests?


Okay, this poll might have limited appeal -- I'm looking for people who (a.) are old enough to remember the early sixties*, and (b.) have seen the AMC series Mad Men.  Any opinions, thoughts, comments?

*hey kids, go ask your parents/grandparents.

And P.S. "misogynist" means "a hatred of women."
