They do seem a little slow and bored (boring) though.

No as I observe them. I used to help hand-milk cows at our school farm one time and there were about 100 cows to milk every moriing and afternoon. The farm had one bull always moving with the herd, whose job I assume is to ensure that by the time a cow runs dry - that she is already pregnant again. Big handsome and tough looking bull this one, and he looks quite proud of his cowscubine, They all wait their turn with Mr Bull, who is choosy sometimes I suspect, choosing the younger cows from the older ones. Mr Bull would look pitifully tired sometimes, when several cows get the heat at the same time. As soon as he gets to the cowbail, he just bonks down in one of the corners as if he is saying "Thank heaven I have this break from my duty twice daily. But who is to complain look at my beefy of beauties. I thought they should have brought in an assistant to help Mr Bull out.
