O.J. Simpson sentenced to 15 Years:

Today a Las Vegas judge sentenced O.J. Simpson to 15 years in prison for kidnapping.  As reported by the Washington Post, "Simpson was convicted in October on 12 charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to kidnap and assault with a deadly weapon, after a run-in with a sports memorabilia dealer in Las Vegas."

For those who have been in a cave, Wikipedia sums it up: "Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson...was accused of murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in 1994. He originally attained stardom as a running back at the collegiate and professional levels, and was the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season....

"Simpson was acquitted of the murder of Nicole Simpson and Goldman after a lengthy, highly publicized criminal trial. In 1997, a judgment against Simpson was awarded for their wrongful deaths in civil court by a jury, but to date he has paid little of the $33.5 million judgment. He gained further notoriety in late 2006 when he wrote a book titled If I Did It. The book, which purports to be a first-person fictional account of the murder had he actually committed it, was withdrawn by the publisher just before its release. The book was later released by the Goldman family and the title of the book was expanded to If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer."

burglary & conspiracy to kidnap with a deadly weapon?  I don't think it's overkill really.  I know what you are saying though.  If he wasn't such an ass and think he was above the law...i might actually feel some pity for him.  But i don't.  He has been led to believe he can get away with anything.  Im sorry, but just because you can run with a football does not make you untouchable, as he seemed to think.  ugh  good riddance to him

The man is one big JACKASS.  He commited murder and got away with it.  He could still be free if he did not continue to thumb his nose at the law.  He wrote a book, " IF I DID IT",   Something had to happen.  The only frightening thing is the law is supposed to be fair and the sentence in this case is overkill (not saying he doesn't deserve overkill).
