Actually it's ALL of those reasons and MORE. I don't think man was designed to be monogamous. It sounds nice and often works out to be true, but while a man might remain true his whole lifetime, temptation might not be foreign but rampant. -Women throw all their eggs in one basket HOPING their S/O feels the same. Nice philosophy "if" it works, but what "if" it doesn't work out that way in real life? Would you throw away a complete relationship over years or months just because he got some stray piece of ass that meant nothing other than exactly that? Or is it really about obedience? Do you want a man with a ring on his finger AND a ring through his nose? There are men like that, but not ALL of us can be stereotyped that easily. We aren't as complicated and 'sinless' as most women want to believe. What we want and what happens are 2 different things. Maybe we really are dogs or pigs as some women like to portray us as, but i think we're hard-wired that way, it's how our species is designed to survive - to compete and insure our survival.-But don't worry, in another 10 or 20 thousand years our Y chromosome will expire and the human species will re-adapt itself to permit XX to XX reproduction. You can probably tell if he or she includes you at the center of your social life. If there are chareacters in their life who you are not familiar with. And if their friends seem to you to be particularly sketchy.
