The "vampire" angle is, I think a bit misleading. Staying in during the day and never seeing the sun are not quite the same thing. No sarcasm intended, but most houses have windows and some homes even have solariums and/or enclosed patios. With the financial boon of 50 mil tax-free, one could expand on any number of variations on these themes on a grand scale. To me, the major drawback to being a wealthy nocturnal would be travel. If I had to return to my own home, or "native soil" as it were, every morning before sunrise, that would definitely hinder my range of mobility. I'd have to pick a city or town that was a reliable cynosure or hub for many kinds of activities. Given the time to research and plan accordingly, I'd definitely accept the offer.
I'd have to say no, even though it sounds fun and exciting. On that thought though, check out this amazing article I read in the latest Cabinet Magazine http://www.cabinetmagazin e.org/issues/30/foer.phpT alks about living in total darkeness and how it affects our body-clocks. 48 hour cycles!! P.S. Cliff Pickover makes me geek out! Loves it.
I'd have to say NO just on priniciple and because obviously the skiing would suck ... But it would be interesting to know how many people would be willing to do the same thing, commit themselves to a confined artificial environment inorder to travel through space or live on an inhospitable planet -- because that's what it's going to take.
It could be done, but i would get very down unable to walk in the sun. I am not a person that lays in the sun..but i find after a few overcast days I become a bitch. Can't imagine what i would be like then
Yeah I'd actually do it. Cause with the fifty mil I could hire all kinds of servants and chefs and actually live pretty care free for the rest of my life. Also I'd be able to buy a pretty bad ass home with lots of room and exciting things to keep myself busy with.
What the hell!
