After a turmoilous year, Yahoo CEO and founder, Jerry Yang, resigns

Yang resigns after a terrible year for Yahoo: a failed attempt to be sold to Microsoft, a stock plunge and massive personnel cut that eventually led to a wave of executives leaving the company on their own will. Lastly, an attempt to partner with Google on online advertising fell through, and several stock holders were interested in taking over the wounded Internet giant.

Eventually, CEO and founder Yang, had to take the hint. It is still not clear who will replace him at the Yahoo helm.
