The "Purple Diet"?

The Purple Diet is a fad diet promoted by Mariah Carey which involves eating only purple foods, such as plums, beetroot and red grapes three days a week. It is claimed that purple foods have anti aging properties due to their high content of anti-oxidants and vitamins. There is no proven medical benefit to this diet. As a testament to living longer, i am on a "Rainbow Diet". That means eating as many veggies in different colors as i can, the greater the variety the better. Purples, yellows, reds, oranges, whatever. Each has properties non-existent in other colors, mostly minerals. My nutritionist recommended this plan of attack to stay mentally acute and still maintain a state of awareness for the unexpected. Purple is but one of Roygbiv, the spectral range of nutrients.
