I had several uncles who served in the wars "fighting" for democracy and my younger brother died while on a peace keeping mission in Lebanon; but our soldiers have degraded that proud reputation with a foul noisome smell; they have been responsible for four coup d'tat in 1987 (2), 2000 and 2006 in Fiji and there is no way I am going to be caught in the company of any Fiji Armed Services celebration or memorial; simply no way.

AND sad to say buried my dad yesterday in uniform. THATS what he wanted!!
I went to a "veteran's day" lunch at my kid's school to see a program for vets... like my wife. :-)
I will be sure to now that I have been reminded
