great minds say that through sacrifice (hard work) the rewards are much greate.  If the whole great nation is built on hard work alone, if you are saying that without hard work the great nation will collapse then what kind of great nation is it if its so hard to preserve?

Speaking under condition of complete anonymity here, I believe (among other things) that:Socialism is better than capitalism, that alcohol ravages the body and mind while pot is not only benign but largely beneficent, that modern christianity is 180 degrees from anything Christ ever taught starting with "OUR Father", that hallucinogens can reveal potent truths if used solely for that purpose, that I physically saw the soul of my eldest child as a newborn and dreamt of the others before they were born, that I once had a conversation with my future self and that I remember learning to play guitar (or at least the ancestor of the guitar) in another lifetime.I also believe in string theory and the existence of ten dimensions with three distinct universes or types of universe, the existence of evil as an unfotunate but necessary consequence of free well, the existence of psychic ability and its hereditary nature, and our own power to reshape our reality.  Furthermore I believe that my Higher Power not only loves all of us but actively helps me with my day-to-day life, and that women, unlike men, possess an innate social intelligence that not only threatens patriarchal institutions (which have traditionally responded with repression) but may ultimately represent the hope of the planet ;.)

i beleive in ufo's. i beleive our government should acknowledge their existance. i beleive we as humans could and should be alot further along in the evolutionary process if we were to drop war. i be;eive the US government had a hand in coordinating 911. i beleive everyone should keep themselves posted on what the hell is going on in the world. i beleive most of society is what i like to call the walking dead. and i beleive it has alot to do with big buisness and the media force-feeding our children junk and killing any creativity we may have left. i beleive times ahead are going to be tough for humans and i beleive we should have some sort of common goal as a planet. i beleive we should drop alot of the bullshit we put up with on a regular basis. it does however make me happy to see people who use their brains. i beleive knowledge is all we really have! you can't take all your money and shit with you. i beleive nobody on their death bed has ever muttred the words "i wish i worked more"

I believe in a lot of things my friends do not. Mainly paranormal activity, UFO's etc. My belief in these things comes from first hand experience. I saw a UFO one winter night, that slowly moved through the sky above me. It was scary yet amazing to see. So that sparked me curiosity in that. Years later I encountered what i later learnt folk call "Shadow People". In broad daylight what seemed to be a 2d sillhoutte of pure blackness, in the shape of a humanoid appeared in the corner of my room out of nowhere, it seemed to move in an instant right in front of me, then back to the corner rapidly, it did this for 2 or 3 seconds in a strobe light fashion and then at incredible speed went along the wall and out of my room. So that to me was all I needed to go on a mad hunt for all things paranormal that were even vaguely related. Id never expect anyone in a million years to believe what Ive seen, but still ill post it in the hopes others have encountered such things, to at least let them know they aint insane :p

I'm not entirely sure myself. Between endless nights of researching things as diverse as quantum theory and chaos magick and various religious beliefs and philosophy and schools of thought, I took all of the most commonly agreed upon premises and threw them all together to see what I would come up with. I also smoked a lot of pot, tripped on a lot of acid and mushrooms, meditated by sources of water, learned karate, went skydiving, challenged my fear of death, and pushed myself to my limits both mentally and physically. I've kept as open of a mind as possible, embracing every thought and every moment in its entirety and living it through the moment to its inevitable ending point. Spiral out, keep going.

I believe that we are all parts of one giant soul, we are all part of one conciousness experiencing itself subjectively. Life is a dream, it is the afterlife, is always has been and always will be. We proceed where we want to go and only where we want to, and nowhere else. In a way, you are not in control of your destiny. In a way, however, you were always in control of it from the very start. Happiness is nothing more than a state of mind, life is only a perspective issue. No one I know has ever felt this way, or at least articulated it to me in such a manner as to where I feel they understand.
