Is Palin a Christian Nationalist?

She refuses to answer questions about her faith, but being blessed by her church's favored preacher, Pastor Muthee, puts her well in the zone of the most extreme of religious nutters. Another great column from the Anchorage Daily News, people who know Palin better than most:

Just why a church in Wasilla, Alaska, would adopt the language of witchcraft to express their belief in a battle of good versus evil is not clear. But even more revealing was Rev. Muthee's summary of the principles of what has come to be called Christian Nationalism, which preceded his "laying on of hands" ritual.

Extreme Christian Nationalists not only believe that the United States was founded as a Christian nation but that its institutions should be run entirely by fundamentalist or evangelical Christians. They believe they have a mandate to purge our institutions of "humanists" who believe that humans are in control of their own destiny, progressive Christians and non-Christians. They believe there are seven areas of society that must be controlled, the so-called Seven Mountains Strategy: church, family, education, government and law, media, arts and entertainment and business. Separation of church and state was a basic tenet on which the US was founded. Many of the founding fathers were not aligned to any particular church. Palin's church, is a Pentacostal church which believes in eroding away this separation. And as for Muthee, you have not seen the crazy stuff his church gets up to in Africa. Good old fashioned, honest-to-goodness witch hunting, like they did in Salem in the 1700s. They feature witch hunting in their promotional videos. And she didnt leave the Pentacostal church entirely, she still goes to Pentacostal churches, it is just that she goes to more than one church these days. Mostly because of her schedule as governor.

Have you taken a look at the religion our country was founded on? Additionally I would take a gander at the religion Obama was raised on. Palin is a pussycat compared to the religious organizations that Obama has been tied to. Rev. Wright comes to mind. He's far more of a whack job than Muthee. Besides, Palin diassociated herslef with that church a couple of years ago. That is to say, she didn't disassociate herself during her campaign and because the American people pressured her to.

She seems to be.I mean she is a stunch Christian, or proclaims to be. And at the same time she seems to have a lot of enemies, for instance Russia, who are also Christians. Does this make her a Christian nationalist? Perhaps..........
