Oct 29th, 2008 | A Young Palestinian survey

were you aware that a 24-year-old palestinian Ibrahim Abu Jayab is cold calling random American families from his parent's home, in Gaza, imploring them to vote Obama.

LINK...

One would think this would be quite newsworthy especially given Obama's ever-changing position on Israel and "Palestine" as well as the controversial tape of the junior senator from Illinois at a dinner party with former PLO operative Rashid Khalidi that the Los Angeles Times is refusing to make public.

Yet, according to a Google News search, only USA Today and AP have published anything about this matter, including the following video report from the world's leading wire service:

If the buffaloes are stampeding, it is because they know they are off to the slaughterhouse. The chances of surviving a cliff fall are better than the chances of surviving a slaughterhouse.

Phil, you really don't see where these things lead, if they continue to move in the direction they're going, do you? I believe in freedom, not global tyranny. But it's so much easier to just go with the flow, eh. If I see a buffalo stampede, heading straight for a cliff, I might try to stop them, although it would be impossible, and save one or two in the process. But I sure as heck wouldn't join them.

Nope... No universal health care, you do not care for your poor, your inner cities are rife with crime and urban degredation, it is a place where it seems mandatory to keep deadly weapons, one of the worlds largest per capita prison populations, a finance system that has been designed to spread bad debt globally, through subprime mortgage bonds...

we do not cold call other countries asking them to support a specific candidate....our government might support a specific candidate but generally we personally do not get involved....unless you count jimmy carter who was a disaster as president...which obama will be just like him and far worse...

Must be that 'global' thing again.  Or is it the herd mentality?  If so many people believe it, then it must be true, eh.  So much for independent thought, and Independence Day.  Got to fit in with the globe these days.  It is a small world after all.

Tell that to Chile. The US toppled the Allende regime. Tell that to Vietnam. Tell that to Iraq. Tell that to South Korea. The US propped up a corrupt government up there. Tell that to South Africa. The US propped up the Apartheid regime. Nicaragua. The US sponsored a coup and civil war there. Iran. Fifty years ago the Americans helped install the Shah to replace a populist, secular regime, and the backlash to this eventually saw the rise of the Ayatollahs. The list goes on and on forever, and the backlash to this happened on the anniversary of Pinochet's coup in Chile, September 11, 2001.  The Iraq war has caused bombings targeting the British in London, targeting Australians in Bali and the Australian Embassy in Djakarta, and the Madrid Subway. Bush and his neoconservative warmongering are DIRECTLY the cause of that. US foreign and domestic policy have a MASSIVE effect on the rest of the world, and if we believe we can cause US foreign policy to be more beneficial to world relations and the world economy, we not only have a right, but we have the RESPONSIBILITY to do whatever we can to help.

He is well loved in the Middle East. He is also well loved in Europe, Australia, Canada, Latin America, the Pacific Islands, Asia, (especially Indonesia), Africa (especially Africa). And that people are out there taking the time and money to cold call Americans to say how much he is loved overseas, must be a positive thing, surely? I mean, no terrorist will bomb Americans if their president is popular would they?
