Why is Obama getting such a good run in the press?

I thought I would try to do this poll before one of the rightwingers wrote it.

his campaign is not melting down....i guess if you listen to the liberal pundits, like you do, you will eventually believe anything they say...

Not a sign of complaint about FOX on those sites... I wonder, if I was bothered or had the time to go into their archives, whether there was any complaints about Bush's genital spongebath treatment he recieved until Hurricane Katrina?

That is because the McCain campaign is melting down. Even Neoconservatives like Powell are deserting. Even McCain's own advisors are deserting. Palin is regarded as a bigger joke out there than Dan Quayle was, mostly because things like "being protected from all forms of witchcraft" and "naming your daughter after a snowmobile" and "not knowing what the Vice President does" trump "tomatoe".-The negative stories about Bush were outnumbered by positive stories about him during his first five years in office, the years before Hurricane Katrina forced them to stop giving him a genital spongebath. They write stories that they believe people want to read. And right now, they want to believe (rightly or wrongly) that Obama is somehow going to fix everything. Now he might just do that. But there is a much greater chance that nothing will be fixed if he is not allowed to do his job.

I am a proud supporter of Obama, and I have never taken a dime that I did not earn, nor do I intend to. Your characterization of people who are for Obama is plainly ridiculous. You can't just believe whatever you want to believe you know.

I looked at your links even though I'm pretty sure you wouldn't look at mine. Your links are to far-right media sources, and are fairly vapid. My link is to The Nation, our country's oldest, most established news magazine. You'll notice that the article is based on fact and sound reporting, including quotes from several important conservatives: William Kristol, Pat Buchanan and James Baker among them. This "liberal media" idea is strictly for the sort of people who believe that professional wrestling isn't scripted.

in fact their negative stories run 7 to 1....they are 7 times more likely to report negatively on mccain...and ignore all of that which needs to be known about obama...

Alas. How could it be anything but the liberal press just doing what it is that the liberal press does. This seems pretty much right on the money to me.

Is there an anti-republican backlash? Don't know. An anti-Bush fever running a-muck, certainly and these days probably among both parties. But to think that this is anything other then the Liberal Media doing what it is that the liberal media does, is craziness. Welcome to the world of the American media!

Actually, because Palin refuses to hold a press conference and McCain is so negative, the media just ignores them both whereas Obama is open and cordial.
