Zappos is no longer selling fur products...

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has convinced online shoe retailer Zappos.com to stop selling fur and to never sell fur again.

PETA says: "PETA's campaign blitzed Zappos.com CEO Tony Hsieh with nearly 12,000 e-mails from people who urged the company to go fur-free. The campaign also involved numerous action alerts posted on PETA.org, Facebook, YouTube, and other heavily trafficked Web sites."

Turns out Twitter may have also played a part in the company's no-fur decision. "And in what might be the first social-issue campaign ever waged on Twitter.com, PETA supporters sent countless messages to Zappos.com employees to encourage the adoption of a fur-free policy," adds PETA.  "Twitter.com is a popular social-networking Web site widely used by Zappos.com; Hsieh himself frequently posts on the site."

i take it you have nothing animal associated in your life?  I hope you down own pets...because that would be wrong too.  also, no meat or dairy products for you.  Also, no squishing of spiders, flies or any bug.  they are all living creatures...and if you do that makes it wrong too.  You shouldn't call other posters on here bitches or tell them to fuck off.  You completely lost your point with me, because I found that highly offensive.  PETA is filled with people like you.  always screaming at the top of their lungs at people...unable to get a real point across because you use bully tactics.   I agree with a lot of things they say, but would never support their group simply because they do more harm than good.

IT DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT JUST BECAUSE THEY DID IT YEARS AGO, IT JUST MEANS THEY WERE CRUEL EVIL SCUMMY BASTARDS BACK THEN TOO. YOU ARE A STUPID BITCH IF YOU THINK IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE WHEN AN ANIMAL WAS KILLED THE POINT IS THEY STILL HAD TO SUFFER FOR BASTARD HUMANS AND BULLSHIT LIKE IT WAS ACCEPTABLE YEARS AGO JUST WONT WASH SO FUCK OFF BITCH

The more PETA forces fur out of companies, the more underground fur trade will be, and the more cruel the practices will become. People want to wear fur, humans have been wearing it for centuries. It is more important to regulate the practices of obtaining fur than to shun it all together. PETA is not doing the animals any favors.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, Philgtaylor.  If fur is wrong, then so is leather, or any animal products for that matter.  I don't happen to own anything made of fur, but I'm not against it because I eat meat and I own leather shoes, so I would be a hypocrite.
