It is even harder trying to show that THEIR logic conflicts with what happens with the real world, even if you show that the communist system has failed. They then say something like "that is because global simultaneous revolution is required" I mean, it is like a religious conviction or something. If you listened to opinions that are as far to the left as Coulter's are to the right, you would see what I mean. I'm progressive. I agree mostly with the Roosevelt policies. Sane regulation. Universal health coverage. Sensible development, and regulations to avert the worst of the harm that development causes. These are sane policies, ones that are good for the economy long term.I am also for a foreign policy that does not alienate the rest of the world. You kill one person and you make enemies out of all his brothers. His brother's execution by the Tsar is what radicalised Lenin. You look at ALL radicals, and you see some similar brutalisation, either through war, or more personal brutalisation. And then there are economic policies. Generating wealth by injecting it into the base, the low income people who spend it, rather than the supply side logic of giving more money to the rich. Regulating markets, so people are not able to sell toxic investments, or toxic meat, or toxic toothpaste for that matter. You can't say those are extremist by any means. I am talking more about the policies that we have in Australia, or Europe, or Britain. They are not extreme leftist by any means. They are possibly centre left.
