Bulls, Bears, Mules and Donkeys?

Since 1929, Republicans and Democrats have each controlled the presidency for nearly 40 years. So which party has been better for American pocketbooks and capitalism as a whole? Well, here’s an experiment: imagine that during these years you had to invest exclusively under either Democratic or Republican administrations. How would you have fared?

As of Friday, a $10,000 investment in the S.& P. stock market index* would have grown to $11,733 if invested under Republican presidents only, although that would be $51,211 if we exclude Herbert Hoover’s presidency during the Great Depression. Invested under Democratic presidents only, $10,000 would have grown to $300,671 at a compound rate of 8.9 percent over nearly 40 years.

the NYTimes has had to retract so much of what they said they have NO credibility....example: the general betray us ad that they refused to give the same low price for an opposing view...oh yeah and all of the things they had to retract about sarah palin...

Kansas is an economic disaster, much to the delight of it's Republican natives. The minimum hourly wage is $2.65/hr, BUT the unemployment rate is only 3.5%, which they brag is best on the continent. True, but who wants to raise a family on $110/week? If being a blue-collar worker is your career ambition, and your children's future, why even offer education? They must like living in poverty because they keep voting Republican year after year. For more info just Google "what's wrong with Kansas?"

Just another reason to keep Repugs OUT of the future. Excuses only show they know ABSOLUTELY nada about finances OR profit. Do you want to end up like Kansas, a retro economy? Incidentally, this came from the NYT.
