Sex as a weapon is as old as prostitution I think, if not older. When a lady needs something from her partner, she could use sex to soften her man and eventually make him do what she wants. A man could bribe his lady to get sex if he is desperate enough and his lady knows it and can innocently play it to her advantage. Then there is the young lass (more often then not) who would use sex to lock-down a boyfriend, who is being pursued by other girls, just to stave them off her man. Some even end up getting pregnant as a result. Then there is the suitors’ case, a woman (or lady) can get all the gentlemen fighting (literally) over her by tantalizing her sex with each of them. All these could happen if a lady is a little insecure and not confident - in her appearance of confidence - of her own relationship. But it also shows that men, well most men, are true suckers when it comes to women and their sexuality - but hey I am not complaining.
I mentioned jealosy because if and when it occurred, it could influence a negative and irrelevant action to take place which we could all regret. More often then not, jealousy takes place based on pure speculation, assumption and misunderstanding that is why it is harmful. To me jealousy is a good reason for one to reconsider a relationship one is developing. I do not take it lightly. I had a small part in a stage play (amateur) and I was talking to one of the actresses outside the "Playhouse" in Suva, when my girlfriend at the time saw us and accused me of flirting behind her back. I told her the truth, but she would not accept it. I just stop bothering.
I think neediness is the most annoying thing in EVERYBODY -- it repels both men and women alike, if you ask me. And yet it's perfectly understandable at times. Sigh.
I just believe that you can love someone without burdening that person with expectations of what you think they should be.
