AR 1998 A contractor with ACORN-affiliated Project Vote was arrested for falsifying about 400 voter registration cards.
CO 2004 An ACORN employee admitted to forging signatures and registering three of her friends to vote 40 times. 2005 Two ex-ACORN employees were convicted in Denver of perjury for submitting false voter registrations.
FL 2004 A Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman said ACORN was “singled out” among suspected voter registration groups for a 2004 wage initiative because it was “the common thread” in the agency’s fraud investigations.
MI 2004 The Detroit Free Press reported that “overzealous or unscrupulous campaign workers in several Michigan counties are under investigation for voter-registration fraud, suspected of attempting to register nonexistent people or forging applications for already-registered voters.” ACORN-affiliate Project Vote was one of two groups suspected of turning in the documents.
MO 2007 Four ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City for charges including identity theft and filing false registrations during the 2006 election. 2006 Eight ACORN employees in St. Louis were indicted on federal election fraud charges. Each of the eight faces up to five years in prison for forging signatures and submitting false information. 2003 Of 5,379 voter registration cards ACORN submitted in St. Louis, only 2,013 of those appeared to be valid. democrats oppose requiring id to vote...
so you are going to drive all the way to Ohio just so you can register to vote and vote once? Or possibly plan a very busy day, drive to Ohio and register a few dozen times, under different aliases of course, after finding a whole bunch of dead people, and then on election day, drive across Columbus or Cincinatti or Cleveland, going from polling station to polling station far and wide, and end up voting only 20 times?
ANY voter fraud is wrong and dangerous
Then it would be a simple matter... Just make them get ID cards... And why don't they pass a law?
and how many can they actually get to? Any more than 20 is really pushing it.It is just too inefficient and labor intensive to be practical.
What I can't figure out, is why a poor person who is a legal resident can't get an ID. Our state issues an id card that isn't a DL. No ID, no vote....IMO.
if no ID is required they can vote as whomever they wish at as many polling stations as they can get to....
if no id or proof of residency is required they can vote as they wish....pppssssttttt there are several polling places across ohio....hell as the law stands i could drive to ohio and register and vote and i am a legal resident of alabama...tell me how that is fair?
like the Diebold machines handed Ohio to Bush? And who is going to go out there and actually vote using the fraudulent IDs? They can't be used, because if somebody turned up more than once at any polling booth, they would automatically be challenged.
The big problem here is that ACORN are paying people to register voters, sounds like a good plan, but not really, because there are a lot of people out there who are willing to just fill in a bunch of fake people to get their commissions. I have worked on a commission basis, and that is the kind of thing certain people I worked with used to do. How do you expect somebody to vote using the name "Donald Duck"? They are SURE to be challenged. For these extra votes to be used, somebody would have to show up at 5000 separate polling places, as they would not be able to vote more than once at the same place. They should stop the practise of paying commissions for voter registration entirely.
The big problem is, a lot of poor people do not have any photo ID, because they do not have drivers licenses or passports. (guess who poor people normally vote for) So, there will have to be an ID card specifically for voting, something forgeproof, and something you can obtain for free.
i agree 100%......and what is going on in ohio is a sham that will probably hand obama ohio....
This is why responsible folks, Republican and Democrat alike have called for voter ID laws. I need an ID to buy tobacco, ammunition, a fishing license, alcohol, or to get on an airplane. Why should I not need an ID to vote?
This is big, this MIGHT just bring him down in flames.
