Were the Giants right to discipline their star reciever?


Plaxico Burress the Reciever for the New York Giants who caught the winning touchdown pass in last years Super Bowl missed a team meeting without notifying anybody from the Giants and was therefore suspended. He was also fined one weeks pay which was $117,500. After missing one game Burress returned to the Giants on Monday.

This guy makes a weekly salary of $117,500. That is inspiring!Yes they were correct. These guys need to be held accountable for the actions, no different then any employee from any given company.

When you're playing for a team, and being paid to be on a team, you show up to meetings, it's as simple as that. One athelete who really disappointed everyone was Ray Emery who was goalie for the Ottawa Senaters. He's playing in Russia now, because no one wanted to deal with his unwillingness to cooperate, show up to practices on time, etc.
