I can't really say. I don't know any other liberals personally (except my wife.) Almost everyone that I know or have ever known is conservative, and they run the gamut from very happy to absolutely miserable.
Prove it. You can't make a statement about Republicans being from "wealthier demographics" without something to back it up. You just pull this crap out of the air and expect us to swallow it. Like, duh. Ain't going to happen.
I'm old enough to have known liberals during the Clinton era. They were always pretty unhappy. I think it's largely because a large number of liberals seem to have self destructive attitudes. When I was broke and living in Tulsa, OK, I had a lot of liberal friends. On payday, they'd blow half their paycheck drinking and partying. They'd wake up the next day, hung over and with barely enough money for bills. Making the same money, I managed to have computers, a car, tuition, TV, and... well, that's about all I managed to have. (and I donated plasma twice a week... so I probably had slightly more money -- maybe another $20 - $30) 12 years later, though, many of them are still blowing their tiny paychecks drinking and smoking weed on payday. I don't talk to them anymore, because they're pissed at me for not partying with them and having lots of nice things (like a house and four cars). Or maybe I'm pissed at them for constantly telling me that I don't deserve what I have -- that nothing but luck separates my life from theirs. In any case, I only get along with a handful of liberals these days...
Like, duh. They tend to be from wealthier demographics, and people from wealthier demographics tend to the more right wing ideologies, that is, to keep what they have and get more wealth for themselves. Meanwhile, anybody who is left wing gets completely vilified in the media, so much so that they are ashamed to call themselves liberal, because people like Rush Limbaugh have turned them into some kind of antichrist.
Muslims by and large, though known to suffer violence and internal strife as of late, do seem to me to be a generally confident people. Steadfast in their convictions and belief system.
They do though. Why is that? It's a long story. I'd recommend Thomas Frank's "What's The Matter With Kansas?"
Well, for a start, the Republican policies normally benefit the wealthy. Why would poor people want to vote for a party that does that?

studies have proved republicans are happier...
