Can't vote on this one, but I can understand her situation because she has been a Governor of a State and she would get news cuttings of current affairs each morning rather then newspapers and magazines. The cuttings will carry the dates and the name of the source and the page in small prints, and the emphasis on the news item with comments from public servants - for her info and decisions. if applicable. I experienced this when I was attached to the office of the NSW Premier's Department in Sydney some years ago and I noted the preparation of news items and briefing notes every morning by 7.00 am, in a folder and set by the relevant Asst Dir Gen, on the Director-General's table, who would take it to the Premier at 9.00 am or as scheduled. So it should be understandable I think.

Other than gathering votes for the gender dis-enfranchised women she has no foundation, no relevant experience and a mouthpiece at best for Repug propaganda, a pretty train-wreck. For those better off today than they were 8 years ago, she remains a dim hope of repeat failure. Obviously people will vote for her because she's a Repug # 1, and #2, a woman. Any further qualifications are obscured by her lack of experience and intelligence. Hopefully this will be displayed in her debate with Biden.

Nor can she name any other Supreme Court decision other than Roe vs. Wade, but I get the feeling that she could just babble her way through the debates, and the conservative "base" will still say she won.-Honestly, to be fair to Palin, she probably does read newspapers and magazines. She read somewhere that humans and dinosaurs co-existed, for example. The most likely explanation of her non-answer to the newspaper question was this: she couldn't remember what she was supposed to say.
