Is biased media coverage at the degree that it is in it's covering the Presidential race unethical?

Without seeing it for yourself it would be impossible to know how the debates between presidential candidates John McCain (r) and Barack Obama (d) went based on media coverage; that's because the press spins their coverage in a furious and unapologetic manner.

I did a quick google search, and found that coverage is pretty even handed. For example, some outlets gave a narrow win to McCain on the debate, some gave a narrow win to Obama, but none gave either a resounding win. There are few reports either massively attacking or massively praising either McCain or Obama. Biden is recieving slightly negative news headlines, but most of the emotion (positive and negative) is going towards Palin. The Right is trying to inflate her daughter's wedding, and is talking about Palin rallying Pakistani feminists, the Left is talking about her crazy religious practices,  and some of the drier news services are going on about an abuse probe, and there is one right wing commentator by the name of Kathleen Parker who is saying that Palin should step aside. -That is going by the headlines of the top news stories for each of the candidates in a google news search.

The coverage of Bush pre Katrina was far worse.

I have seen many elections and never in my life has the main stream media been so oblivious in trying to get one side elected. (Oboma) It is shameful, dishonest and border line criminal. It truly is the death of journalism. Sad for our country and sad for all free people everywhere
