If a dirty mouth is one that curses and swears all the time - then a dog's mouth would be much cleaner because they do not swear at anyone even if they were  stepping on their tails or do they?

This site suggests that a clean mouth is one that will spread the least amount of disease. Apparently humans are not affected by some of the germs that reside in a dogs mouth. A dogs mouth may be be filled with more germs under a microscope, but humans aren't likely to get sick from doggie kisses.  http://amos.indiana.edu/library/scripts/dogmouth.html
