obama has to study and practice for 3 days to be prepared for the debates this friday....does this show a lack of confidence?

Kennedy studied, Nixon studied, Johnson studied, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and all their opponents studied. No doubt McCain will study. And why wouldn't they? There will be tough, well researched questions asked, tricky questions, questions that have a sting to them, and he will not be able to quickly google up the answers.

Maybe he should have rephrased that to read "primary school"  instead of "third world"

Here we "argue" a case in Law, "discussions" are deciding what to eat, and "quarreling" is fighting it out to determine the winner.

Mac, Some of us in the third world, do prepare well for any debate or discussion, because we think that discussions ought to be exchanges of intelligence since arguments are mere exchanges of ignorance.

Evidently you've never debated or argued a case, instead relying on quarreling, a common occurrence in 3rd world countries and amongst barbarians.

Are you out of your mind?  Who wouldn't prepare for a major debate?  This pollster has got to be a joke/phony.  No one is this stupid.

I have to give it to Obama on this one. If I were about to walk out infront of a bunch of people and try to convince them that I need to be their president, I would spend several days making sure I had my sh*t straight. On a different note, I think he is going to fumble anyway. I doubt his days spent preparing are going to help him avoid the smackdown that the Republicans are bound to deliver.

Lack of "something". He has enough false confidence = arrogance.
